DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State shot better than 50% from the field and handed SWOSU their first conference loss in over a year, defeating the #17 Lady Bulldogs 85-76 on Saturday at Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
SWOSU led 28-25 after a high-scoring first quarter, but they then went cold from the field hitting a combined 7-of-34 field goals between the second and third quarters. Conversely, Southeastern kept up their scoring pace, shooting better than 50% from the field in each of the first three quarter and building an 11-point lead, 66-55, after three. The Lady Bulldogs got back within four twice in the fourth quarter, but the Savage Storm put the game away by hitting 13-of-14 free throw attempts in the fourth quarter.
Taber Beer led the Lady Dawgs with 18 points, seven assists and six steals before fouling out while
Tyra Aska also filled up the stat sheet with 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Makyra Tramble posted her second double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds and
Maddie Sperle was one point shy of recording one with nine points and 10 boards.
SWOSU (4-2, 1-1 GAC) plays once more before Thanksgiving, making a trip to Lawton on Wednesday to face Lawton at 1:00 pm.
