- The Bulldogs dropped to 0-6 in league play on Saturday after suffering a 76-73 defeat to Southern Arkansas, their second straight one-possession loss in a conference game
- Ouachita has lost their last five games after opening Great American Conference play with a win over Arkansas Tech while SWOSU is one game behind the Tigers in the league standings

SWOSU Notes
- SWOSU has been held to 75 points or fewer in three of their last four games after failing to score 75 just once in the first eight games of the season
- The Bulldogs remain the second-highest scoring offense in the conference with an average of 82.6 points per game while opponents have averaged 89.9 points per against SWOSU this season
- Tre Evans followed two of his lowest-scoring games of the season with 26 points and seven rebounds against Southern Arkansas before fouling out in the closing minutes
- Evans remains the leading scorer in the GAC and he's ranked fifth nationally with a scoring average of 25.0 points per game
- Nick Shoemaker knocked down 3-of-5 three-pointers against SAU and he is 9-for-16 from long range over the past three games after hitting just one of his first 13 three-point attempts this season
- Shoemaker's recent hot streak has given him 173 made three-pointers in his career, which ranks him third in program history behind Clarke Hale (182; 2006-09) and Markeise Champion (175; 2015-17)
- Kamden Gipson reached double figures in scoring with 11 points on 4-for-9 shooting against SAU, upping his season average to 6.3 points per game
- SWOSU's other true freshman in the starting lineup, Chris Braggs, Jr., has now scored 10 or more points in three straight games to rank third on the team with 8.1 points per
- Daniel Eibel has moved into the starting lineup for three of the last four games and he's averaging 8.0 points per over the past three games with five made three-pointers
