Setting the Scene
- Bulldog Basketball concludes their weekend visit to Arkadelphia on Saturday afternoon when they meet Henderson State in a game set for 3:00 pm at the Duke Wells Center
- SWOSU dropped another close conference matchup on Thursday, falling at Ouachita 75-67 to move to 3-10 on the year and 0-7 in league play
- Henderson State returned to their winning ways and snapped a two-game slide by defeating Northwestern Oklahoma State 85-73 to even their conference record at 4-4
- First-year head coach Terry Evans will lead the Bulldogs against Henderson State for the first time while Reddie head coach Jimmy Elgas is 6-0 when facing SWOSU
- The Reddies have been tough at home this season with a 5-1 record at the Duke Wells Center while SWOSU is 1-4 in true road games and 0-2 in conference road contests

SWOSU Notes
- For just the second time this season, SWOSU was held to fewer than 70 points in Thursday night's 75-67 setback at Ouachita
- The Bulldogs scoring averaged has dipped to 81.4 points per game for the year, a number that is lower in conference play with 77.1 points averaged against GAC foes
- Tre Evans has led the Bulldogs in both scoring in rebounding in five straight games and he enters Saturday's game with team-bests of 24.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game
- Evans is the leading scorer in the conference and he's scored at least 12 points in each game this season, including 17 on Thursday night at Ouachita
- Nick Shoemaker has knocked down 12 three-pointers during the past four games and he's averaging 9.5 points per game over that span
- With three three-pointers made against Ouachita, Shoemaker passed former teammate Markeise Champion for second place on SWOSU's all-time three-point list with 176 and he now sits six behind Clarke Hale (182; 2006-09) for the top spot
