Setting the Scene
- SWOSU Baseball faces a challenging midweek slate this week against a two-loss USAO team and UCO in back-to-back road games on Tuesday and Wednesday
- The Bulldogs will be looking to bounce back from a subpar week last week where they went 1-3 including the first GAC series loss of the season to Southeastern
- Last year, SWOSU fell twice to USAO (once at home, once on the road) and will look to reverse that trend on Tuesday in Chickasha
- SWOSU has already claimed a 15-8 win over UCO this season and will go for the series sweep on Wednesday in Edmond
- This week's UCO contest is makeup from February 21st when bad weather plagued Oklahoma and forced the initial postponement and then cancellation
Â

-
Daniel Richardson hit number six and seven home runs on the year, while finishing the week with a .308 average himself
-
Brooks Benson and
Jason Nichols also each homered once last week
- As an offensive unit, SWOSU batted .288 on the week with five hitters above the .300 mark
- On the mound, pitchers struggled as every Bulldog pitcher who made an appearance allowed at least one run last week
- SWOSU held a 7.16 team ERA for the week and allowed 52 hits in 33.0 IP while striking out 24 and walking 17
-
Tyler Tuck picked up his first win of the season in relief and made two appearances out of the bullpen – pitching 6.0 innings and allowing two runs (one earned)
