Setting the Scene
- Bulldog Baseball will look to keep their momentum going into a new weekend of conference play against Harding following an opening GAC series victory against Arkansas Tech last weekend
- SWOSU will host Harding for the second weekend of league play, a series originally scheduled for Friday/Saturday but moved due to crazy Oklahoma weather
- The Bulldogs hold a slight 10-9 advantage against the Bisons in GAC action since Head Coach
Zack Saunders arrived at SWOSU in 2012, including a 2-1 series win a year ago in Searcy

Harding (5-6)
- Began GAC action in Alva last weekend where they took one of three from the Rangers to begin league play below the .500 mark
- They have also taken one of three from both Missouri Western and St. Edwards in non-conference matchups
- On offense, they are hitting .273 as a unit while holding a 6.62 team ERA on the mound

Zack Saunders (159-134, 9th season)
- Two-time Great American Conference Coach of the Year, winning the award in 2013 and 2016
- Inducted into the Muskogee Athletic Hall of Fame on October 13, 2016
- Earned his 100th career victory at SWOSU against Northwestern Oklahoma State on April 24, 2015
- Previously served as an assistant at SWOSU for six seasons under former Bulldog coaches Charles Teasley and Scott Selby
- Played collegiately at Kansas State following two seasons at Connors State playing on nationally-ranked junior college teams

Haridng: Patrick McGaha (341-295, 13th season)
- Has led the Bisons to seven conference tournament appearances and its first-ever NCAA Tournament berth
- He became the winningest baseball coach in program history in 2016 when his Bisons defeated St. Edward's 5-1 in the second game of the series
- In his time at Harding, McGaha's student-athletes have received 38 all-conference, six all-region, and two all-America honors

SWOSU Notes
- The Bulldogs began conference play with a 2-1 record following a home series victory over Arkansas Tech last weekend
- As a team, SWOSU batted .265 in the series led by
Brooks Benson who hit .455 with five hits in 11 at-bats
- Three players who started all three games hit above .300, including Benson,
Chase Duncan (.375) and
Alex Pimentel (.333)
- Pitchers were throwing ground balls as SWOSU turned four double plays in three games against the Wonder Boys

Rogelio Sanchez belted his first home run of the season in his first start of the season on Sunday, finishing the day 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored

Sawyer Toole, making his way into the lineup by way of substitution on Sunday, went a perfect 2-for-2 including a key two RBI single in the seventh inning that plated SWOSU's go-ahead runs
- Only two bullpen arms made appearances over the weekend:
Brendan Peitsmeyer and
Gabe Jacobo who combined to throw 5.2 innings and allow just one run between them both
Looking Ahead
- SWOSU will play UCO on back-to-back days (home and away) in midweek action before traveling to Ada, Oklahoma on the weekend for their first road conference series against East Central
