Setting the Scene
- Bulldog Baseball will look to keep their momentum going into a new weekend of conference play against Harding following an opening GAC series victory against Arkansas Tech last weekend
- SWOSU will host Harding for the second weekend of league play, a series originally scheduled for Friday/Saturday but moved due to crazy Oklahoma weather
- The Bulldogs hold a slight 10-9 advantage against the Bisons in GAC action since Head Coach Zack Saunders arrived at SWOSU in 2012, including a 2-1 series win a year ago in Searcy

The Opponent
Harding (5-6)
- Began GAC action in Alva last weekend where they took one of three from the Rangers to begin league play below the .500 mark
- They have also taken one of three from both Missouri Western and St. Edwards in non-conference matchups
- On offense, they are hitting .273 as a unit while holding a 6.62 team ERA on the mound

The Coaches
SWOSU: Zack Saunders (159-134, 9th season)
- Two-time Great American Conference Coach of the Year, winning the award in 2013 and 2016
- Inducted into the Muskogee Athletic Hall of Fame on October 13, 2016
- Earned his 100th career victory at SWOSU against Northwestern Oklahoma State on April 24, 2015
- Previously served as an assistant at SWOSU for six seasons under former Bulldog coaches Charles Teasley and Scott Selby
- Played collegiately at Kansas State following two seasons at Connors State playing on nationally-ranked junior college teams

Haridng: Patrick McGaha (341-295, 13th season)
- Has led the Bisons to seven conference tournament appearances and its first-ever NCAA Tournament berth
- He became the winningest baseball coach in program history in 2016 when his Bisons defeated St. Edward's 5-1 in the second game of the series
- In his time at Harding, McGaha's student-athletes have received 38 all-conference, six all-region, and two all-America honors

SWOSU Notes
- The Bulldogs began conference play with a 2-1 record following a home series victory over Arkansas Tech last weekend
- As a team, SWOSU batted .265 in the series led by Brooks Benson who hit .455 with five hits in 11 at-bats
- Three players who started all three games hit above .300, including Benson, Chase Duncan (.375) and Alex Pimentel (.333)
- Pitchers were throwing ground balls as SWOSU turned four double plays in three games against the Wonder Boys
- Rogelio Sanchez belted his first home run of the season in his first start of the season on Sunday, finishing the day 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored
- Sawyer Toole, making his way into the lineup by way of substitution on Sunday, went a perfect 2-for-2 including a key two RBI single in the seventh inning that plated SWOSU's go-ahead runs
- Only two bullpen arms made appearances over the weekend: Brendan Peitsmeyer and Gabe Jacobo who combined to throw 5.2 innings and allow just one run between them both

Looking Ahead
- SWOSU will play UCO on back-to-back days (home and away) in midweek action before traveling to Ada, Oklahoma on the weekend for their first road conference series against East Central
