WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU Men's Basketball seniors
Collin Jennings and
Devin Pugh combined for 26 points, but the Bulldogs allowed more than 100 points for the second time this season in a 101-89 setback against Oklahoma Baptist on Friday afternoon at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center.
Both of SWOSU's games against Oklahoma Baptist this season have been high-scoring with the Bison going over the century mark both times, also claiming a 104-96 victory in Shawnee last month. The Bulldogs defense was shredded to the tune of 51.5% (35-of-68) field goal shooting by OBU, who also hit 13-of-34 (38.2%) three-point attempts.
SWOSU was solid offensively, getting four players to score in double figures, led by the Great American Conference's scoring leader
Charles Beauregard, Jr., who posted 26 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field.
Nick Shoemaker poured in 20 points, knocking down six three-pointers, while
Devin Pugh added 16 points and
Collin Jennings chipped in 10 points, seven rebounds and three steals.
SWOSU (4-23, 2-19 GAC) will wrap up the 2017-18 season on Saturday in Bethany against 2017-18 GAC Champion Southern Nazarene.
