WEATHERFORD, Okla. – For the first time since late in the 2013 season, the SWOSU Volleyball team will play a regular season game in historic Rankin Williams Fieldhouse on Thursday evening when the Bulldogs host East Central on Thursday evening.

The move from the Pioneer Cellular Event Center back to Rankin – the home of SWOSU Volleyball from 2005-13 – was made to accommodate with other events taking place on campus leading up to Homecoming on Saturday. First serve on Thursday evening will come at 7:00 pm.

SWOSU enters the game on a two-game slide after falling in straight sets at Oklahoma Baptist on Tuesday evening and the Dawgs are now 11-18 on the year and 6-7 in Great American Conference play. SWOSU is currently tied for seventh place in the GAC standings, needing to maintain that position to earn a berth in the 2017 GAC Championships, which will take place on November 16-18 at Bank of the Ozarks Arena in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Danusia Sipa Borgeaud led the Bulldogs with 17 kills and 11 digs in a four-set win over the Tigers in Ada on September 12th. SWOSU dropped the opening set 25-19 before bouncing back to win the next three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-16 to open conference play with a victory. The Bulldogs have won their last eight meetings against ECU, dating back to the 2013 season, including four consecutive wins over the Tigers in Weatherford.
