Setting the Stage
- Three teams remain in a virtual tie atop the Great American Conference standings with two weekends of play remaining, including SWOSU Baseball (27-12, 17-7 GAC) who hosts Harding for a three-game set this weekend
- The series will consist of a single, nine-inning game on Friday afternoon at 2:00 pm then conclude on Saturday at noon with a doubleheader
- The Bulldogs are tied with Arkansas-Monticello for the league lead at 17-7, percentage points ahead of Southeastern Oklahoma State, who is 19-8

Harding (20-23, 12-15 GAC)
- The Bisons enter the weekend in eighth place in the GAC standings and they would occupy the No. 7 seed in the GAC Tournament if it were to begin today
- Harding has a winning record on the road at 10-9 while they are just 10-14 in home games this season
- Offensively, Harding ranks eighth in the GAC with a .269 with a league-leading 16 triples and they are fifth in team pitching with a 4.36 ERA

- Has led the Bulldogs to three winning seasons and he's led the team to the GAC Tournament on three occasions while tutoring 16 all-conference players
- Earned his 100th career victory at SWOSU against Northwestern Oklahoma State on April 24, 2015
Harding: Dr. Patrick McGaha (309-255, 11th season)
- Recorded his 300th win at Harding earlier this season and he has led the Bisons to six conference tournament appearances and their first-ever NCAA Tournament berth

- SWOSU and Harding are the only teams in the conference to sweep both the Player and Pitcher of the Week awards this season, and both have done so in the past two weeks

Jon Chidester earned his first Pitcher of the Week award of the season and the fourth of his career

Korbin Polston, who was named the GAC Player of the Week on March 7, has a team-best .358 batting average during conference games with nine doubles, six home runs and 31 RBI
