Setting the Stage
- SWOSU Baseball (23-12) is at home on Tuesday afternoon for their first midweek home game in almost a month, hosting Cameron at 2:00 pm in the Bulldogs 'Pack the Park' event
- The Bulldogs have won their last two midweek contests, needing extra innings to defeat Oklahoma Christian and Oklahoma City, and SWOSU is 6-2 in the midweek this season
- Fans are encouraged to show up early for free hot dogs courtesy of the SWOSU Athletic Association and sign up for a chance to win a FitBit Charge HR in a drawing that will occur during the game
 
The Opponent
Cameron (23-12)
- The Aggies enter the week with a 23-12 overall record, but they are a perfect 12-0 in non-conference games, including wins against GAC foes Southern Arkansas, East Central and Southern Nazarene
- Cameron is hitting .307 as a team with 28 home runs and 225 runs scored this season while their pitching staff has a 3.78 ERA and holds opponents to .244 hitting
 
The Coaches
SWOSU: Zack Saunders (125-97, 5th season)
- Has led the Bulldogs to three winning seasons and he's led the team to the GAC Tournament on three occasions while tutoring 16 all-conference players
- Earned his 100th career victory at SWOSU against Northwestern Oklahoma State on April 24, 2015
 
Cameron: Brady Huston (42-41, 2nd season)
- In his third season overall at Cameron and second year as the head coach after serving as the top assistant coach for the Aggies in 2014
 
SWOSU Notes
- Quinton Dougherty had a hand in all three of SWOSU's victories last week, going 1-0 with two saves in three appearances
- Tanner Dearman and Joshua Santos each had six hits apiece last week to lead the Bulldogs offensively, and Dearman scored six runs to push his team lead to 47 runs scored this season
- Jacob Spring's hitting success continued as he had two home runs and a double as part of five hits last week, which included 12 RBI to give him a team-leading 45 RBI for the year
- Six of SWOSU's regular lineup players are hitting better than .333 during midweek games, led by CJ Faddis (.400), Trent Troxell (.385) and Zach Barton (.375)
 
Looking Ahead
- The weekend again leads the Bulldogs to Arkansas, where they will face Arkansas Tech for a three-game series on Friday-Saturday in Russellville
