Setting the Stage
- A matchup of top conference teams will take place at the SWOSU Athletic Complex this weekend as Oklahoma Baptist visits Weatherford to face the Bulldog Baseball team
- The series will open with a single game on Friday at 2:00 pm and conclude with a 1:00 pm doubleheader on Saturday afternoon
- This will be the first meeting between the teams as Great American Conference foes and SWOSU is 2-1 against the Bison under the direction of head coach Zack Saunders

- Currently in third place in the league standings by percentage points at 11-4, trailing SWOSU and Arkansas-Monticello who are tied for first

- Has led the Bulldogs to three winning seasons and he's led the team to the GAC Tournament on three occasions while tutoring 16 all-conference players
- Earned his 100th career victory at SWOSU against Northwestern Oklahoma State on April 24, 2015

- Member of the OBU and NAIA Baseball Hall of Fames, Cox is the all-time leader in coaching wins for any sport at Oklahoma Baptist

- Bulldog game one starter Jon Chidester leads the GAC in ERA (1.66) and ranks second in wins (5), having allowed just eight earned runs in 43.1 innings of work this season
- Korbin Polston brings a 15-game hitting streak and team-leading .371 batting average into this weekend's series
- Tanner Dearman has also been on a tear lately, hitting safely in 11 consecutive games and he has seven multi-hit games this season
- Gunnar Cook has won his last two starts, allowing a combined two runs in 14.0 innings of work while striking out 15 opposing batters
