- SWOSU Men's Basketball will take a two-game winning streak to Goodwell, Okla., on Sunday afternoon for a meeting with Panhandle State
- The Bulldogs look to end the semester on a high with a game that will be the Bulldogs final contest before the holiday break
- Last season, Panhandle State defeated the Bulldogs 76-65 in Weatherford, snapping an eight-game SWOSU winning streak in the series that covers the schools entire NCAA Division II era
- SWOSU is 4-0 against the Aggies in games played in Goodwell since 1999 and 8-1 overall in the series, including a 67-63 win in Edmond during the 2010-11 season
- Panhandle State enters the contest on a three-game winning streak in regular season games, most recently defeating Manhattan Christian College on Wednesday evening

Panhandle State (5-2)
- OPSU enters the contest with a 5-2 overall record, but they've also been tested by two NCAA Division I exhibition contests against Louisiana-Lafayette and Texas State
- The Aggies have won three straight regular season contests but they have just one win over an NCAA Division II foe this year, Western New Mexico
- Panhandle State averages 85.4 points per game on the year with five players scoring better than 11 points per game, led by sophomore forward Jace Kerr at 19.9 ppg

SWOSU: Bob Battisti (52-41, 4th season; 461-337 career, 28th season)
- In his fourth season as the head coach of the Bulldogs, having led SWOSU to at least 16 wins in each of his first three years at the helm
- Has coached five players at SWOSU that earned All-GAC distinction, including one GAC Player of the Year (Rod Camphor) and one GAC Defensive Player of the Year (Michael Bradley)
- Previously spent 25 years at Northwestern Oklahoma State, coaching the men's basketball team for 21 seasons before taking over as the school's athletic director
- In 26 years as a head coach, Battisti has a career record of 459-330 (.582) and he is 1-2 at the conference tournament as the head coach at SWOSU

- Has been the Head Men's Basketball Coach at OPSU since 2007 after previously serving as the Athletic Director for the Aggies as well
- Came to Goodwell after ten years as an assistant men's basketball coach at Montana State

Checking the Standings
- With Great American Conference play on a hiatus until January, Arkansas-Monticello will take the league lead into the holiday break with a perfect 4-0 mark in GAC games
- A log jam of four teams are just one game back of the Weevils with a 3-1 conference mark to date: Harding, Henderson State, Southern Arkansas, Southern Nazarene
- Tied for sixth place with even records of 2-2 through the first four games are Arkansas Tech, East Central and Ouachita
- After picking up their first conference victory, the Bulldogs moved into a share of ninth place in the standings with Oklahoma Baptist
