- SWOSU Football returns home for a Thursday night matchup against in-state foe Oklahoma Baptist, kicking off at 6:00 pm from ASAP Energy Field in Weatherford
- The game will be the Bulldogs second home Thursday evening contest this year, the first a 21-17 defeat against Southern Arkansas on opening night
- The Bulldogs enter the game on a three-game win streak with each victory coming over another school from Oklahoma, while Oklahoma Baptist is mired in a three-game slide after opening the season 2-2
- Last Saturday's 35-14 victory over Southern Nazarene improved SWOSU to 3-0 in the month of October and the Bulldogs have now won seven consecutive games played in October, dating back to last season

The Series
- SWOSU and Oklahoma Baptist have faced off 21 times on the gridiron in a series that dates back over a century to 1912
- Last season, the Bulldogs and Bison met for the first time since 1940 and Thursday's meeting will be the first time that OBU comes to Weatherford since before World War II
- The Bulldogs defeated OBU 42-14 last season in Shawnee, closing to within one win in the all-time series, which is led by OBU 10-9-2
- SWOSU won the first six all-time meetings between the teams but the Dawgs were winless in their last seven contests against OBU before the Bison suspended their program

SWOSU: Dan Cocannouer, 32-51 (Eighth Season)
- Has been the head coach at his alma mater since 2009, leading the Bulldogs to two winning seasons in the past three years
- Earned four Coach of the Year Awards following the 2015 season, including: Great American Conference, AFCA Region 4, HERO Sports Region 3 and OklahomaSports.Net Small College
- After the victory at Southern Nazarene on October 15, Cocannouer is now tied with Joe Metcalf (1952-57) for fourth place on SWOSU's all-time wins list with 32
- Has a record of 1-0 against Oklahoma Baptist as the Bulldogs head coach and he will be facing the Bison in Weatherford for the first time on Thursday night

Oklahoma Baptist: Chris Jensen, 16-24 (4th Season)
- Jensen is the first Oklahoma Baptist football coach since 1940 and he is in the midst of his fourth season leading the Bison
- His team doubled their win total from his first season to his second, going 8-3 in 2014 after a 4-7 mark in 2013
- In his three seasons, he has coached one All-American, five NAIA Scholar Athletes, 26 all-conference selections, and one Academic All-American

- SWOSU Football scored in all three phases last Saturday as they earned their first road win of the season, defeating Oklahoma Baptist 42-14 in Shawnee
- The Bulldogs scored twice on special teams, with
Daylan Dial blocking a punt that was recovered by
Dominic Blue for a touchdown and
D.J. Jones returning a punt for a touchdown for the second straight week
- Making his second career start,
Brooks Robertson threw for 108 yards and carried the ball for the first rushing touchdown of his career

Karltrell Henderson scored once in each quarter for a school-record four rushing touchdowns, leading the Bulldogs to a 35-14 victory over Southern Nazarene on Saturday
- Henderson becomes the first Bulldog of the NCAA era to record four rushing touchdowns and the first SWOSU player since 1991 to accomplish the feat
- The Bulldogs totaled 399 yards of total offense, with 203 yards through the air and 196 yards rushing, led by Henderson with 117 yards on 19 carries

- SWOSU Football now has the second-longest active winning streak in the conference and the Bulldogs are tied with Northwestern Oklahoma State for seventh place in the standings at 3-4
- The Bulldogs next opponent, Harding, is alone atop the standings at 7-0 following a 63-17 victory over Southeastern last Saturday
- Henderson State is alone in second place while Southern Arkansas is holding down third place with a 5-2 record
- Arkansas Tech, Ouachita and Southeastern are in a three-way tie for fourth at 4-3

SWOSU Offensive Notes
- With his performance on Saturday,
Karltrell Henderson surpassed the NCAA era school record for career rushing touchdowns (23) and he moved into fourth place on the rushing yardage list (1,538)

Marc Evans has moved into third place on the NCAA era list for career passing yards with 4,387 yards, passing Reade Box, who had 4,224 yards for the Dawgs from 1999-03

D.J. Jones caught his 12th touchdown pass as a Bulldog on Saturday at SNU and he now has 1,431 career receiving yards, marks that rank third and sixth at SWOSU in the NCAA era
- Ahead of Jones on both lists is Shevron Glover (13 TDs, 1,577 yards), who played for the Bulldogs from 1997-00 and now coaches cornerbacks for Oklahoma Baptist
- SWOSU's offensive line has allowed just three sacks this season, a mark that ranks second in the GAC behind run-oriented Harding
- The Bulldogs offense has converted on 41-of-92 (44.6%) third downs this season, but their success rate on fourth down conversions is just 30.0% (6-of-20)

- The Bulldog defense has eight tackles for loss against Southern Nazarene, giving them 45.0 TFL for the year and at least seven in each of the past three games
- SWOSU limited Southern Nazarene to 255 yards of total offense, the second straight opponent the Bulldogs have held to less than 300 total yards
- For the year, the Dawgs are allowing 29.0 points per game (5th in GAC) and 433.9 yards per game (6th in GAC)

Dalton Jackson booted a career-long 59 yard punt at SNU and he averaged 50.3 yards per on three punts, upping his season average to 36.6 yards per punt

Tyler Peterson was a perfect 5-for-5 on extra point attempts at Southern Nazarene and he's now 26-for-28 on extra points and 3-for-4 on field goal attempts this season
- SWOSU is ranked fifth in the league in kickoff returns (21.8 yards per return) and ninth in punt return average (3.3 yards per return) this season
