Box Score ALVA, Okla. – A disappointing second half led SWOSU to defeat, 61-31, to in-state rival Northwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday night in the Purcefull Fieldhouse. 
The Lady Bulldogs finished the first half down just 24-21, led by Jennifer William's team-high 11 points on 4-6 shooting. When the teams came out for the second half, however, SWOSU went cold. The Lady Dawgs scored ten points in the second half, hitting just two of their 29 shots. 
Jessica Penner, who has been dominating opposing defenders down low, was held to three points in the contest with one point coming in the second half. 
The loss drops Southwestern to 2-8 in conference play. The team will have the weekend off before completing their road trip next Thursday, January 29 in Bethany, Okla., against Southern Nazarene. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
