WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU allowed one big inning in both games on Saturday and Harding swept the Bulldogs by scores of 9-2 and 10-7 to claim the Great American Conference series win 2-1.
The Bulldogs fall to 18-16 following the series and they are 11-10 in conference play with three GAC series remaining. SWOSU is back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Wichita, Kan., to face Newman University.

Tyler Rapp had an RBI single then came around to score on an RBI groundout from
Jaden Chappell. That would be the end of the scoring for the Bulldogs, however, while Harding scored three runs in the third, one in the fifth and five in the eighth to control the game.
Jacob Swigart allowed eight hits and four runs in 4.1 innings of work and suffered the loss, dropping to 3-4 on the year. SWOSU had seven hits in the game with the first seven batters in the lineup all recording a base hit.
Harding 10, SWOSU 7Box Score Harding broke a 2-2 tie with eight runs in three innings and held off a late SWOSU rally for the victory. The Bisons scored twice in the opening inning but SWOSU scored one in the bottom of the first on an RBI single by
Kale Thaxton before tying the game on a solo home run from
JR Head in the third.
HU regained the lead with a run in the fourth before SWOSU miscues allowed the Bisons to score six runs on five hits in the bottom of the fifth. A run in the sixth made it 10-2 in favor of the visitors, enabling them to survive a four-run seventh inning for the victory.
Ethan Davis tossed five innings and allowed 10 hits and nine runs – only three earned – to take the loss and fall to 5-3 on the year. Head was 3-for-4 with three RBI for the Dawgs while
Dalton Daniels also had a multi-hit game.
