Chris Faulkner struck out looking with two runners on later in the inning, forcing the game to extra innings. Johnson struck out the side in the top of the tenth and SWOSU had a great chance to win the game after Tyler Rapp doubled to lead off the bottom of the tenth, but Rapp would be stranded at third base as the inning ended.

Johnson threw over 200 pitches in a 12-inning complete-game effort that ended with him falling to 5-5 on the year after allowing 11 hits and six earned runs while striking out 12 Southeastern batters.
