WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The SWOSU baseball team mustered up just four hits against Oklahoma Science and Arts and suffered their third consecutive midweek defeat on Tuesday, falling to the Drovers by a score of 5-2.
After USAO got on the board in the first, SWOSU matched with a run of their own in the first despite not recording a hit. The Bulldogs used two errors and back-to-back walks to score a run, which came when
Mitchell Brittain drew a bases-loaded walk.
SWOSU took the lead in the third on a sacrifice fly which from

Brandon Ruiz who singled, stole second and moved to third on a balk to get into scoring position. USAO responded with three runs in the next two innings to get back on top 4-2 and they upped the lead to 5-2 by scoring on a wild pitch in the seventh.
Tyler Hampton started and took the loss for SWOSU after being pulled in the seventh inning and relieved by
Dillon Wilson. Hampton took the loss and moves to 1-2 on the year.
The Bulldogs are back in action this weekend with an important three-game series against Arkansas Tech in Russellville starting on Friday.
