WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Due to weather conditions in Monticello, the Bulldogs first conference road series against No. 16 Arkansas-Monticello has been bumped back one day. SWOSU and UAM will play a doubleheader on Saturday at noon followed by one, nine-inning game on Sunday with the same start time.

It will be the second consecutive weekend pitting the Bulldogs against a ranked foe after SWOSU went 1-2 at home last week against No. 4 Southern Arkansas. The Boll Weevils are off to a great start this season, holding a 10-2 (2-1 GAC) record into the weekend. They won two of three games against Northwestern Oklahoma State last weekend and they are coming off non-conference wins against Division I Arkansas State and LeMoyne-Owen in the midweek.

The Bulldogs won the final game of the Southern Arkansas series to snap a four-game losing skid after two wins to start the year against UT-Permian Basin. SWOSU then suffered a midweek defeat to Oklahoma Christian, dropping their record to 3-5 (1-2 GAC) for the year.Â
