CANYON, Texas – The opportunity to face two old Lone Star Conference foes did not turn out as planned for the SWOSU volleyball team on Saturday. The Bulldogs lost a pair of three-set matchups, falling to Texas A&M-Kingsville (16-25, 16-25, 16-25) and No. 15-ranked West Texas A&M (20-25, 14-25, 14-25).

Points were hard to come by for SWOSU against Texas A&M-Kingsville as the Lady Bulldogs were held to 16 in each set.
Christina Darras put down a team-high nine kills, needing only 12 attempts to do so.
Alison Cole added six kills and no other played had more than five.

Things would not go much better in the nightcap, a 10 pm start against the No. 15 team in the nation. West Texas A&M put down 44 kills in three set while hitting .326 and sent the Bulldogs to their second loss of the day.
Joey Collins led SWOSU with eight kills while Cole had six for the second match of the day.
SWOSU is now 4-8 (1-0 GAC) on the year. They will visit East Central on Tuesday for their first conference road match with a 7 pm start time in Ada.
