Lady Dawgs Finish 4th at Super Regional; Hall Qualifies for Nationals

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Southwestern Oklahoma State women’s golf team again improved their round total by nine strokes on Tuesday, but as a team they finished in fourth place, one spot away from qualifying for the National tournament.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Southwestern Oklahoma State women’s golf team again improved their round total by nine strokes on Tuesday, but as a team they finished in fourth place, one spot away from qualifying for the National tournament.

Ashlynn Hall shot an 81 on Tuesday, her highest round of the week, but her three-day score of 238 still placed her fifth at the tournament and allows her to move on to Nationals as an individual.

Margaret Musser also posted an 81 on Tuesday and her total of 250 put her in 27th place while Ana Gomez and Jessica Heard each carded rounds of 80 in the final round to lower their total scores to 252 and 253, respectively. Gomez also posted the highlight of the day, an ace on the par 3 seventh hole from 156 yards out.

Central Oklahoma claimed the team title with a team total of 951 and they will be joined by Augustana (964) and Northeastern State (975) at Nationals in Daytona Beach, Fla., later this month. SWOSU carded a 993 to take fourth, one shot ahead of both Harding and Henderson State.

Arkansas Tech's Rebecka Surtevall won the event with a three-day score of 231.
