Eight-Shot Improvement has Dawgs in Fifth after Two Rounds

KENOSHA, Wisc. – Jake Duvall and Wouter MyBurgh are both in the top 10 after two rounds of the NCAA Central/Midwest Super Regional, but improved scores by the Bulldogs other two golfers, Tommy Sterling and Vincent Strong, have put SWOSU in contention.

KENOSHA, Wisc. Jake Duvall and Wouter MyBurgh are both in the top 10 after two rounds of the NCAA Central/Midwest Super Regional, but improved scores by the Bulldogs other two golfers, Tommy Sterling and Vincent Strong, have put SWOSU in contention as a team.

Duvall shot a 70 for the second straight day to move into a tie for fifth, two shots ahead of MyBurgh who is tied for seventh after two days.

It was the improved scores of Sterling and Strong, however, which vaulted the Bulldogs into the top five of the team standings. Both shot rounds of 72 on Tuesday after carding a 77 and 79, respectively, in round one.

The Bulldogs two-day team total is 582, three shots back of fourth-place Bellarmine and nine behind co-leaders Missouri-St. Louis and Central Oklahoma. The top five teams at the conclusion of Wednesday's third round advance of the National tournament.
