Andrew Hudiburg is in his second season as a member of the SWOSU Men’s Basketball coaching staff, where he will again serve as a graduate assistant coach for the 2015-16 season.
In his first season at SWOSU, Hudiburg assisted with a team that finished 16-13 overall for their second consecutive winning season. The Bulldogs tied for seventh in the Great American Conference, but pulled off a first-round upset at the GAC Tournament by defeating the regular season conference champion, Ouachita Baptist, in overtime.
Hudiburg came to SWOSU after completing his undergraduate work at Baylor University, where he worked alongside the basketball team as a student assistant from 2010-14. In his time at Baylor, he worked with teams that won the 2013 NIT and advanced to the Sweet 16 in 2014 and he contributed to pre-draft training of five NBA Draft picks. His roles at Baylor include assisting coaches and players during practice while also editing game film and creating scouting reports.
With a focus on skill development, Hudiburg has worked alongside multiple NCAA Division I student-athletes, including in-state products from Oklahoma and Oral Roberts. He also served as a coach and director for the Oklahoma Wizards AAU program during the summer while in college.
A native of Oklahoma City, Hudiburg earned his bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from Baylor University in May, 2014. He is now pursuing a master’s degree in Sports Management from SWOSU.
