Boone Feldt has been SWOSU’s Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach since 2024, in parallel with the arrival of new head coach Andrew Rice. He came to Weatherford after spending one season at Division I Northwestern State (La.) as the Offensive Line Coach for the Demons.
Labeled an up-and-coming coach with experience beyond his years, Feldt is the son of retired college coach, Blake Feldt, who also won state high school championships in Texas. He began his coaching career after his playing career was cut short by spinal surgery in college.
Prior to Northwestern State, Feldt spent four seasons at Texas State. In his final season with the Bobcats, he was active in designing Texas State's weekly offensive game plan and was responsible for run calls on game day. He spent his first three seasons at TSU as an assistant offensive line coach. During that time, he worked closely with tackle Aaron Brewer, a second-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection who has spent the past three seasons with the Tennessee Titans after making the team as an undrafted free agent.
Feldt began his coaching career in 2014 after his playing career at North Texas was ended due to injury. He started as an assistant offensive line coach at Permian High School in Odessa, Texas, before moving to the Division II level, assisting with the offensive line at UT-Permian Basin. He spent four seasons in total at UT-Permian Basin, the last as the offensive line coach. He also coordinated the Falcons' run game.
Born in Boone, N.C., he was an All-Centex selection and an Associated Press All-State selection as a junior at Pilot Point (TX). His team went on to win the state championship after a 15-0 season. He went on to play for Hays High his senior year.
Feldt is a graduate of UT-Permian Basin with a B.A. in history and earned his master's degree in technical education from Texas State.
