WEATHERFORD – SWOSU Basketball's
Landry Allen (women's) and
Tucker Shepherd (men's) have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selections, the organization announced Tuesday.
Both Allen and Shepherd earn the honor for the first time in their careers.
Academic All-District selections are based on a combination of academic and athletic achievement. To qualify, student-athletes must participate in at least 90 percent of their team's games or start in at least 66 percent, while also maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and holding at least sophomore academic standing.
Academic All-District honorees for track & field, cross country, golf, baseball, and softball will be announced later this spring.
The 2026 Academic All-District® Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
