ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – SWOSU Men's Basketball picked up a much needed bounce back win to split its Arkadelphia trip, defeating Henderson State 75-63 in its final Arkansas road game of the season.
The Bulldogs now sit at 9-12 overall and, more importantly, 6-9 in conference play. With seven games remaining in the regular season, SWOSU now sits right at the postseason cutoff line in a four-way tie for places 5-8 in the standings.
The first half was as tight as it gets, with only two possessions in the game separated by more than one score. The Dawgs carried a two-point advantage into the halftime break.
The second half saw the Bulldogs manage the game to perfection. After a brief lead change in favor of the home team and several ties on the scoreboard, SWOSU broke the game open with a 12-0 run in just under three minutes of game time and maintained at least a two-possession lead for the remainder of the afternoon. The Dawgs closed the game by making seven of their final nine shots.
The story of the game came from the shooting numbers. SWOSU shot an impressive 60.9 percent from the field (28-46), its highest shooting percentage since November 19, 2010, against Arlington Baptist, when the Bulldogs shot 61.8 percent.
From three-point range, SWOSU connected on 8 of 15 attempts, while the Reddies shot just 2-14 (14 percent). Both the two makes and 14 percent mark represent season lows for a Bulldog opponent.

Kray Rogers finished with 12 points,
Elijah Jordan added 11, and
Tobias Roland chipped in 10 to give SWOSU four players in double figures. Kennedy Walker scored three points, but in his 25 minutes on the floor, he posted a plus-20 on the scoreboard.
