WEATHERFORD – A pair of pitchers, Drew Fifer and Lily Barfield, have been named the Bulldogs of the Week, presented by Wright Media — the official partner for SWOSU athletic livestreams and radio broadcasts.
Fifer (Louisville, Ky.) earned the win in SWOSU Baseball's Great American Conference opener against last year's regular season champions, Arkansas Tech. The senior turned in six scoreless innings, allowing just three hits — all singles — while striking out seven and walking only one.
Barfield (Cheyenne, Okla.) earned her first collegiate win in the circle for SWOSU Softball, tossing a complete game and allowing just one run in a victory over Fort Hays State. She also appeared in relief against No. 17 Missouri Southern the day prior, where she did not surrender an earned run.
