BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – SWOSU Men's Golf wrapped up its fall season at the Tulsa Cup, finishing tied for eighth after 54 holes of play.

Maryville won the event by one stroke at 3-over, finishing just ahead of Rogers State at 4-over. Two GAC foes, Northwestern and Arkansas Tech, tied for third at 6-over.

Ben Jackson led the Bulldogs throughout the two-day event, firing two rounds under par at 69 and 71 before closing with a 77 in the final round. His first two rounds featured a combined nine birdies, including five in the second round. However, an eight on the par-5 third kept Jackson from posting back-to-back rounds in the 60s. He finished tied for eighth among the field on par-4 holes, playing them at 1-under for the tournament.

Nicolas Lopez Pavelko recorded at least two birdies in each round and highlighted his week with an opening-round 70 that included six birdies. He followed with rounds of 73 and 76 to finish second on the team after leading the Dawgs in each of their previous three competitions.

Conrado Diaz Ermacora carded rounds of 73, 81 and 74. His first and third rounds each featured three birdies and 11 pars.

Nicolas Cabanillas improved his score in each round, posting an 83, 75 and 72. His final round was even par and included four birdies. Samuel Moran finished with rounds of 77, 76 and 80, recording seven birdies and 27 pars across his 54 holes.

Bulldog Golf will now take a break until the spring, when the team will compete in four events before the GAC Championship. SWOSU will begin its spring schedule at the Las Vegas Desert Classic in late February.
