MAGNOLIA, Ark. – SWOSU Baseball fell to Southern Arkansas 7-3 in the finale game of the series where another big Mulerider inning proved to be the difference maker.

The Muleriders used a five-run fourth inning to plate a good chunk of their runs in the contest. It was the lone crooked number scored by either team, in any inning, on the day. All five of those runs came across with two outs. SWOSU scored single runs in the fourth, seventh, and ninth innings and stranded 11 runners on base in the loss.

SWOSU never led in the game. The Dawgs briefly tied things up in the top of the fourth when Markus Coronado drew a based loaded walk, but a strikeout with the bases loaded ended the chance for more. SAU then answered with their big inning to pull away for good.

Kade Folmar hit a solo home run in the seventh inning. Bodi Wallar singled in SWOSU's final run in the ninth. Wallar and Ty Eastwood both had two hits in the game.

Sebastian Diaz (L, 1-1) pitched 3.2 innings before he was relieved by Tyler Fortin who threw 4.1 innings of long relief.  

The loss drops SWOSU to 16-11 on the year and 7-10 in GAC play. The Bulldogs host Southeastern Oklahoma State in a midweek non-conference game on Tuesday (March 25) before welcoming East Central to Weatherford for another league matchup over the weekend.
