MAGNOLIA, Ark. – SWOSU Men's Basketball picked up their sixth straight win, dominating Southern Arkansas 84-66 while shooting nearly 60% from the field in the largest margin of victory this season.
The Bulldogs are now 14-11 and 11-9 in conference play, clinching a spot in the GAC Tournament, held in Fort Smith, Arkansas, from March 6-9. SWOSU will close out the regular season this week with a road game against East Central on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 7:30 p.m., before hosting league-leading SNU on Senior Day, March 1, in the regular season finale.
SWOSU trailed 24-19 with 8:35 remaining in the first half before embarking on a 23-1 run over 12 minutes, taking a 47-25 lead. They did not allow a single field goal to the Muleriders during that span. The Bulldogs maintained a double-digit lead throughout the second half, building a 28-point advantage. SWOSU ultimately scored 84 points, marking the second-highest scoring game of the year. During this win streak, SWOSU has scored 70+ points in all games and 80+ points in three of them.
The Bulldogs have shot 50% or better in three consecutive games, achieving a season-high 58.6% (34-58) while going 10-23 (43.5%) from the deep ball. The Dawgs are 5-1 when shooting 50% or higher. SAU shot 22-49 (44.9%) and just 6-19 (31.6%) from beyond the three-point line.
MJ Warrior poured in 18 points on 7-9 shooting, recording team highs in assists (5) and steals (3).
Tucker Shepherd scored 15 points, with all but two coming in the second half; he knocked down a team-high three three-pointers.

Eli Al-Debaran (10) scored in double figures for the Bulldogs.
