SEARCY, Ark. – SWOSU Men's Basketball dropped its conference opener to Harding, falling 77-55 on Thursday night.

An ice-cold first half set the tone, as the Bulldogs managed a season-low 22 points. They shot just 29.6% from the field and 22.2% from deep with only four makes, adding just two points at the free throw line. Harding, meanwhile, shot 48.3% from the field and a strong 46.2% from three. Entering the game, Harding had been shooting just 37.3% from the field, the lowest mark in the GAC.

The second half followed the same trend. Harding looked comfortable throughout and secured a 77-55 win after leading by as many as 31. SWOSU did finish with a 9-0 run to close the game. The Bisons posted their best shooting splits of the season, hitting 50% from the field, 45.8% from beyond the arc, and going a perfect 14-for-14 at the line.

Kayden Carter led the Bulldogs with 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting, adding two rebounds and two blocks.

SWOSU (3-4, 0-1 GAC) will look to get back even on the weekend this Saturday, December 6.against Arkansas Tech at 3:00 pm in Russellville.
