WEATHERFORD – MJ Rivers and Freya Sala have been selected as the latest Bulldogs of the Week, presented by Wright Media – the official partner for SWOSU athletic livestreams and radio broadcasts.
Rivers (Frisco, Texas) delivered a season-high 282 yards through the air, completing 24-of-31 passes with two touchdowns in SWOSU's dominant win over Arkansas-Monticello. The performance marked the Bulldogs' first victory in the state of Arkansas since 2018. Rivers also posted the most passing yards of any player in the GAC during Week Nine. SWOSU has now won three straight games, averaging 39 points per contest over that stretch.
Sala (Mexico City, Mex.) closed out her fall season with another top-10 finish, placing fourth at The Tulsa Cup. Across five fall tournaments, she never finished lower than seventh, earning two fourth-place finishes and one runner-up showing. Sala currently ranks fifth in the Central Region.
