RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Senior outside hitter Lacy Mott was named the Great American Conference Offensive Player of the Week for week four of the season.

It's the first time this season a Bulldog has earned conference weekly honors, but the fourth of Mott's career after picking up three recognitions a year ago. (two on offense, one defense)

Last week, Mott averaged 4.40 kills per set with a .280 hitting percentage in a pair of five set matches. SWOSU went 1-1, including a win over preseason favorite Oklahoma Baptist. In that contest, Mott finished with 25 kills – just one kill shy of her career high. She added 19 more kills and four more aces against East Central two days later.

With the start of conference play in the books, SWOSU begins week two of the GAC schedule this week where they'll face Northwestern on the road (Tuesday) before finishing the week off back at home (Thursday) against Southeastern.
