LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its Division II All-Region teams on Wednesday where senior outside Lacy Mott was listed as an honorable mention.
 
The honor is a program achievement, marking the first time a Bulldog has been named to an all-region list by the AVCA. Prior to Wednesday, SWOSU had five total all-region selections dating back to 2005 – all of which were awarded by the D2CCA.
 
Mott naturally becomes the first in program history to earn all-region recognition by multiple outlets, having earned First Team All-Central Region status from the D2CCA just hours prior.
 
The AVCA awards 14 all-region selections and six honorable mentions for each of the eight Division II regions. Additionally, a Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and Coach of the Year were selected for each region.
 
The 160 student-athletes who earned all-region honors represent 82 different schools. Mott is the only player from the Great American Conference represented this season on the AVCA's Central Region team.  
 
In 2024, Mott was the unanimous 2024 GAC Player of the Year, a three-time GAC Player of the Week, and earned National Player of the Week honors by the AVCA on Nov. 12. She was named to three all-tournament teams including the GAC Tournament. Her 30 kills against Oklahoma Baptist on Nov. 4 set career high and was the most kills of any player in the conference this season.
