RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – For the third time in four weeks, SWOSU Volleyball has the Great American Conference Defensive Player of the Week after Jada Permenter was awarded the honor on Monday afternoon for week nine.

Permenter joins Samantha Kuzma and Zoey Sparks as Bulldogs to earn the weekly defensive award in 2024. Adding Lacy Mott's two offensive honors, the team has now tallied five total GAC players of the week this season. Permenter now has three recognitions in her career after picking up two nods a year ago.

In SWOSU's only match of the week last week, Permenter racked up 19 digs in a 3-0 sweep of Southern Nazarene. That dig total represents her largest in any three set match this year. 12 of her 19 came in the opening frame.

Permenter's 3.91 per set this season leads the team. Against SNU, she averaged 6.33.
