ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The SWOSU soccer team suffered a 3-0 setback against Ouachita Baptist on Saturday.
Despite unleashing 21 shots, including six on target, the Dawgs were unable to find the back of the net. Ouachita Baptist, meanwhile, converted three of its nine shots on goal, scoring once in the first half and twice in the second.
Both teams committed 10 fouls apiece, but the Tigers held a significant 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Ruth Vasquez paced the Dawgs with seven shots, including three on goal.
Natalie Freeman added three shots for SWOSU.
The loss drops SWOSU to 3-6-1 on the season. The team returns home to face East Central on Wednesday, October 9, at 4:00 p.m.
