WEATHERFORD – SWOSU Volleyball earned a victory in straight sets over Southern Nazarene on Thursday in the lone match of the week.
The Dawgs got a combined 25 kills from Lacy Mott (14) and Hailey Smith (11) with just three combined errors.
In SWOSU's current three game win streak, they've averaged just 10 errors per contest and Thursday was no different as the Dawgs finished with 10 total through three sets. 10 also represents the second lowest total of the season.
SWOSU led wire-to-wire in the first set, hit a blistering .464 in the second, and finished the Storm off with a 'cooler' .306 mark in the third.
The team finished with a .304 clip collectively – the fourth time this season eclipsing the .300 milestone.
Jada Permenter had 12 digs in the opening set and finished with 19 to lead all players. It's her highest three-set dig total this season.
With the win, SWOSU moves to 16-7 on the year and to 11-1 in league play. They will prepare for a clash with Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee next Monday (Nov. 4) before returning home Thursday (Nov. 4) to face East Central. Four matches remain in the regular season, set to conclude November 14.
