WEATHERFORD – The Bulldogs earned a second straight sweep in as many days following a 3-0 win over Ouachita Baptist on Friday to conclude a busy three-match week.

The victory pushes SWOSU to 15-7 overall and 10-1 in the GAC.

For a second straight day, the Dawg defense held an opponent to under .100 hitting. Ouachita hit .090 in the match while SWOSU finished at .322 which included a .419 mark to close out the match in set three. The .322 mark as a team represents a new season high.

SWOSU got double-digit kills from Lacy Mott (12) and Zoey Sparks (11). Four finished with 10-plus digs, led by Mott's 16 – her 13th double-double of the season.

Sparks hit a career high .647 and needed just 17 attempts to get to her 11 kills. It's SWOSU's second straight game to have a player post a .600+ hitting percentage with double digit kills after Samantha Kuzma hit an identical mark against Henderson State one night prior.

The Bulldogs led by as many as 10 in the first set, eight in the second, and 14 in the third. Ouachita made a run late in the second set, but the margin was far too great to cause SWOSU issues.

Looking ahead to next week, the schedule lightens up with one match against Southern Nazarene. That game will take place at home, on Thursday (Oct. 31) at 6:00 pm. Five matches remain in the regular season, which will conclude November 14.
