ADA, Okla. – SWOSU Softball ended their series against East Central on Saturday afternoon with a 7-0 loss.

The result gives ECU a 3-0 sweep of SWOSU on the weekend. The Bulldogs move to 4-18 and 1-8 in the GAC. They have a short turnaround for their next contest when they'll host rival Northwestern Oklahoma State in a Tuesday doubleheader starting at 1:00 pm.
 
After a promising almost comeback in game two of the doubleheader last night, the Bulldogs put up just two hits and six base runners overall in this one. The two hits coming from Katie Boline and Kaylee Barkley.
 
East Central wasted no time getting on the scoreboard on Saturday. The first batter of the game reached on a single and the Tigers almost batted around the order in first frame. They would score three in first inning to lead 3-0 after one inning.
 
ECU reached base in all six innings they batted and put up two runs in the third and fifth innings as well. The Dawgs' offense was stifled by a great day pitching from the Tiger starter.
 
Brianna Cryer received the loss after going 2.0 innings. Taryn Westbrook and Barkley both made relief appearances.
