SHAWNEE, Okla. – SWOSU Men's Basketball had two named to the All-Great American Conference Teams, announced on Wednesday night. Senior guard Kamden Gipson and junior forward Ben Smith both received the first all-conference nods of their careers as Honorable Mention All-GAC selections.

Gipson (Oklahoma City) averaged 13.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game for the Bulldogs at his point guard position. He was the second leading scorer on the team behind Smith, and was SWOSU's top three-point shooter with double the makes of the next best option. He finished 78-for-225 (35%) from beyond the arc, good for third most makes in the GAC, and third around the league in assist/turnover ratio, at a 2.3. Gipson became SWOSU's Division II era leading scorer against Northwestern on February 13 when he scored a career high 30 points against the Rangers and ends his career with 1,379 points. His name will also rest at the top of SWOSU's D2 career assists and made three-pointers lists, with 417 (ast) and 233 (3-pt) respectively.

Smith (Edmond, Okla.) averaged 15.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. He ranked 10th in the GAC in scoring and 14th in rebounding with three double-doubles this year. He set a new career high against Harding on January 28 with 28 points, while his best rebounding performance came before Christmas Break against East Central when he grabbed 13 boards. As a big for the Dawgs, Smith shot nearly an exact 50% mark from the field but also knocked down 33 three-point shots, third most on the team, to help stretch the floor.
