WEATHERFORD, Okla. – In the final game of a four game homestand, the SWOSU Lady Bulldogs lost to Harding, 69-47. This is the lowest amount of points for the Lady Dawgs in a game this season.
SWOSU falls to 6-12 on the year and 6-7 in the GAC. They will hit the road next for another Arkansas road trip. On Thursday they will be at Southern Arkansas in Magnolia at 5:30 pm. Then, they will travel to Monticello for a 1:00 pm game against Arkansas-Monticello.
Averi Zinn led the way with 14 points and five steals for SWOSU.
Morgan Smith scored 11 points.
Macy Gore had eight points, four rebounds, and three steals.
The Lady Bisons were the better team on both sides of the court today. SWOSU could not get anything consistent going offensively. They had as many made field goals in the first quarter as the Lady Bulldogs had in the first three quarters.
In the second quarter, SWOSU was outscored 24-8, putting Harding up 25 points at halftime. The second half was more competitive, but Harding's early lead was insurmountable.
SWOSU shot 22.6% from the field (14-62) and 17.2% from three (5-29). Harding ended with a 43.5% field goal percentage (27-62) and 33.3% from three (4-12). Harding also outrebounded the Lady Dawgs 48-36.
