WEATHERFORD, Okla. -- Mike Smith checks in with new head softball coach Jessica Boone in leadup to the upcoming season! He also sits down with Shamica Smith from women's basketball and Ben Smith from men's basketball.  




Softball recently completed their Media Day for the GAC, meaning the season is fast approaching! SWOSU was picked 11th in the preseason coaches poll, but with Boone new to the program and lots of new faces on the team, those preseason rankings are all but pointless when the Dawgs start the season February 4th.

Shamica Smith is averaging over eight points and nearly seven rebounds a game for the Lady Bulldogs who look to find a groove heading into the middle part of the conference season. 

Ben Smith leads the team in scoring this season and had another great pair of games last week for the Bulldogs, averaging 18.5 points per game and securing his second double-double of the season against Ouachita. He and the Bulldogs find themselves directly in the postseason mix with six weeks remaining in the regular season.
