Game One
SWOSU 7, OBU 6
The Lady Bison came into Friday with the best record in the GAC but will not leave Weatherford with that title. On a windy day in Western Oklahoma, the Lady Bulldogs came away with their first GAC win of the season against a strong OBU team in walk off fashion.
Scores mirrored each other after 5 innings, with a 2-2 stalemate. OBU broke the tie with 2 runs in back to back innings to go up 6-2 with only 3 outs left for the Lady Dawgs. SWOSU would answer this deficit by scoring 5 runs in the bottom of the 7
th to come away with the win, starting with a
Jordyn Wadley single and ending with a
Caitlin Delany walk off single to seal the comeback.
Maddie Rahon led the Bulldogs with 3 hits and a huge 2-run home run in the crucial 7
th inning.
Breanna Simmons,
Kaylee Barkley,
Dani Carmo, and
Jordyn Wadley all added 2 hits apiece.
Alisa Friesen also picks up her first win on the season.
Game Two
OBU 12, SWOSU 10
The second game of the double header was a hectic one, with Oklahoma Baptist coming out on top 12-10. This contest would span two days after a stoppage due to darkness at the SWOSU Athletic Complex.
SWOSU would jump out to a 7-2 lead after the first two frames, and hold an 8-4 edge going into the last inning. OBU would come out in the 7
th inning and explode for 6 runs, including 2 huge homers to ignite the run.
This is where SWOSU would almost mount another comeback with 3 outs to go. The Lady Bulldogs would score just enough to send the game to extra innings before the stoppage in play. This affected the momentum of the game drastically, as it got called at approximately 6:30 pm. When play resumed on Saturday, the Lady Bison came out hot with 2 more home runs in the 8
th to put the game away.
Jordyn Wadley put up 2 hits and 2 home runs in the loss, with

Both teams came out today rested from a long Friday, with the score being 7-5 in favor of OBU after 3 innings. SWOSU would score 3 runs in the 4
th to take the lead, but did not hold it, as OBU would put up 2 in the 6
th to retake the lead 8-7 going into the last chance for the SWOSU. It would prove to be not enough though, as for the second time in three games, the Lady Bulldogs would win on a walk off hit in the bottom of the final inning.
Jordyn Wadley, who started the 7
th inning comeback on Friday afternoon, would finish it on Saturday with a double to send the Lady Bison home.
