Bulldogs Bested by No. 4 Rogers State

WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU Softball dropped both ends of their midweek twinbill with No. 4-ranked Rogers State on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs get back to conference play this weekend on the road against Henderson State in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

Game One – RSU 11, SWOSU 0 (6 inn.)

SWOSU hung tough early and fell late in the series opener after trailing 3-0 through four innings and then surrendering eight additional runs in the final two innings.

Jewell Lee was responsible for half of the team's hits in the game, finishing 2-for-3 at the plate.

Brianna Cryer picked up the loss in the circle. As mentioned, she kept RSU at bay until the later innings when the explosive Hillcat offense finally broke through for good.

Game Two – RSU 11, SWOSU 3 (5 inn.)

After a hitless opener, Caitlin Delaney got hot and collected three hits in the contest and drove in a run in the fifth inning. Lee continued to produce, driving in SWOSU's other two runs on an RBI single in the second inning.

The Rogers State offense continued to build their run production through the first three innings. They scored two runs in the first, three in the second, and then five in the third to build their lead.
