WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Bulldog Baseball did not have their best on Wednesday afternoon against Central Oklahoma after surrendering 15 runs and only collecting four hits on offense and went on to fall 15-1 to the Bronchos in a shortened game due to run rule.
UCO scored in every inning they batted and made work of six SWOSU pitchers, each of which who allowed at least one run in their outings.
A two-out grand slam in the third inning pushed the margin to 6-0, followed by a five-run fifth that all but sealed it for SWOSU.
The offense did not produce an extra-base hit and saw only four names collect hits on the afternoon. This compared to UCO who had four doubles from four different players and a pair of home runs from Wyatt Gray.
Grant Ewy (L, 4-2) got the start and made it 3.0 innings before giving way to the bullpen.
SWOSU will look to refocus with another conference series at the Athletic Complex coming this weekend. The Dawgs will play host to Henderson State with game one on Friday and a doubleheader Saturday.
