WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Kamden Gipson (men’s basketball) and Averi Zinn (women’s basketball) have been named the newest Bulldogs of the Week. The award is brought to you by Wright Wradio, the official partner of SWOSU Athletics for both livestream and radio.
Gipson (Oklahoma City) was the clear leader for the Bulldogs in the lone game last week. In the loss to Cameron, Gipson scored a team high 24 points for the game. This is the season high for a Bulldog player as well. The scoring outburst raised his points per game to 14.0, which is also the highest on the team.
Zinn (Anadarko, OK) was the standout in the Lady Bulldogs Friday night game versus No. 6 West Texas A&M. Zinn came away with a team high 17 points in the game. This mark is the second most a Lady Bulldog has scored this season. It is also the most points Zinn has scored in her short Bulldog career. This performance raised her points per game to 12.7 for the season, good for second on the team.
