SEARCY, Ark. – SWOSU soccer continued its theme of defensive battles with another 0-0 tie, this time with Harding University.
The second matchup of the season went different than the first. SWOSU defeated Harding 2-0 at the SWOSU Athletic Complex on September 29.
SWOSU was firing shots, but could not get any into the back of the net. They outshot Harding 16-6. They had more shots on goal, with seven, than Harding had total shots. Yet, no points were put on the board for the duration of the game.
Emmy Wagner posted season highs in minutes (66) and shots (4) in today's game, as well as a shot on goal.
Alimata Rabo also had four shots, with three of those shots on goal.
Ashley Hughes faced two shots on goal and saved both of them, giving her another GAC shutout.
SWOSU eludes yet another loss and stays undefeated in the GAC on the year, 5-0-5. They go to 5-4-7 overall in 2022. Their last home game will be on October 27 against Southern Nazarene at 3:00 PM.
