SWOSU and Ouachita Soccer Tie Again

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – SWOSU soccer started an Arkansas road trip with a contest against Ouachita Baptist. The game ended in a tie at 1-1.

This game was the second head to head matchup of the schools in soccer this season. The first was a 0-0 tie in Weatherford on October 1.

Alimata Rabo broke the SWOSU goals record earlier this season and she continued to add onto her record today. She scored a 50' goal to match the first half OBU goal. This is her 10th of the season.

Both teams made their goalkeepers work today. They combined for 29 shots and 6 shots on goal in the game, as well as three corner kicks. It was a bit chippy; SWOSU committing 13 fouls and Ouachita committing 12.

Rabo led the Dawgs with six shots and two shots on goal. Brianna Benitez added three shots as well. Ashley Hughes claimed two saves in her 90 minutes on the field.

SWOSU continues to fend off losses and stays undefeated in league play at 5-0-4 and 5-4-6 overall. This tie breaks the school record for ties in a season. The Dawgs are staying consistent at the right time. Their next game is at Harding on Saturday October 22 at 11:00 AM.
