WEATHERFORD, Okla. - Markenzie Benoit of SWOSU Volleyball and Tanner Griffin of SWOSU Football have been named this week's Bulldogs of the Week. 

The award is brought to you by Wright Wradio, the home of the Bulldogs over the airwaves on both 95.5 'The Coyote' and 100.3 'Coyote Classic.'

Benoit, a Senior transfer from Bedford,Texas, led the Bulldogs as they dominated the Texas Woman's Pioneer Classic over the weekend. The team took four wins from four games, thanks in large part to big contributions from Benoit. She racked up 48 kills on only 7 errors in those four games to go along with 11 total blocks. It was a huge weekend for Bulldog Volleyball and Markenzie was right at the center of it all. 

Griffin, a Sophomore transfer from Bixby, Okla., spearheaded an impressive offensive display from the Bulldogs on Saturday night that saw the team go for over 500 yards of total offense against Southern Arkansas. He went 29-48 for 437 yards and four touchdowns. Those were career highs for him in both categories and it was the most yards any SWOSU quarterback since 2018.
