WEATHERFORD, Okla. – SWOSU Baseball scored 10 or more runs for the fifth straight game and set a new season-high for hits with 18 as they took down USAO by a count of 13-6 on Tuesday afternoon at the SWOSU Athletic Complex.
USAO scored the first two runs of the game in the top of the second inning, but SWOSU scored four in the bottom half and never relinquished the lead, scoring eight runs in the middle innings before adding one in the bottom of the eighth.
Each player in the lineup had at least one hit for the Dawgs, with
Drew White,
Ryan Dos Santos and
Marc Gonzales putting in three apiece while
Alex Bedard was 2-for-5 on the day with three RBI. White, Dos Santos,
Miguel Soto,
Brooks Red had doubles in the game while White also added a home run.
Keyshaun Smith continued his hot hitting with a homer of his own and
Jean Ortiz also homered as soon as he was inserted into the lineup.
The win is the fourth straight for the Bulldogs, who run their record to 13-8 on the year heading into a series at Southeastern Oklahoma State this weekend.
