WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The newest Bulldogs of the Week were announced on Monday morning, with Nate Postlethwait of SWOSU Baseball and Bulldog Volleyball’s Samantha Kuzma claiming the honors.

The award is brought to you by Wright Wradio, the home of the Bulldogs over the airwaves on both 95.5 'The Coyote' and 100.3 'Coyote Classic.'

Postlethwait (Wichita, Kan.) had a dominant outing on the mound as the Bulldogs defeated Oklahoma Baptist 15-1 on Saturday and clinched the series victory over the Bison. He tossed 6.0 innings and allowed just five hits and one earned run while striking out six, including a bases-loaded strikeout to end OBU’s threat in the top of the fourth inning. For the year, Postlethwait is now 2-0 with 13 strikeouts and a 1.50 ERA. 

Kuzma (Portland, Texas) was equally as dominant in her performance as the SWOSU Volleyball team swept Southern Nazarene on Thursday night. She put down 13 kills on just 21 kills without committing an attack error, which was good for an attack percentage of .619, the fourth-highest single-game attack clip in school history and highest against an NCAA Division II opponent. For the year, Kuzma ranks fourth on the team with 50 kills while leading the Dawgs with an attack percentage of .347.
