SHAWNEE, Okla – The SWOSU Soccer team traveled to Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday night, where they lose a physical game 2-0.
SWOSU had chances in the first half that they couldn't quite capitalize on. The Dawgs had more shots and corners in the first 45 minutes than OBU but failed to put the ball in the back of the net. Both SWOSU and OBU committed 15 fouls in the game. This is the season high in fouls for the Bulldogs as a result of an extremely physical game.
Desiree Rodriguez led SWOSU in shots with three, and the sole shot on goal for the night. Tianna Watkins would accumulate two shots in 50 minutes played in the game. Goalkeeper Kirstyn Dill had four saves against 12 shots and six shots on goal from the Bison.
This is SWOSU's first GAC loss and still keeps them at second overall in the GAC. The Bulldogs will look to bounce back this coming week, when rival Northwestern Oklahoma State University travels to Weatherford on October 19th.
